Our Values

Our values - your business

Business values are a key part of defining who we are and what we do. With that in mind this was a key, early task for us at We Are Doodlebug! Questions we asked ourselves included: How will our values help us in delivering client solutions which aid their business to be successful? Why are we even in business ourselves? And - with the danger of getting all 'meta' here - what is the point of it all?

The order shown above is the one we thought of them in. We worked differently though - 'in reverse'.

I have - as many of you have - spent many an hour in meetings of various sizes coming up with slogans and buzz words which, although well meaning, do not stand out and could have been generated with a free piece of software on the net.

On the flip side, to really stand out it's important not to lose a clarity of message.

These are our values. I will explain in more detail afterwards, but here we go:

Share Success
Have Fun
Make it Matter

Small businesses enrich lives all over the world. From farmers to shopkeepers, to accountants and lawyers, they serve not only to provide services and resources but to do so in a way which enriches the communities they exist within. As we leverage new technologies and strategies, (which are endlessly being developed and refined - at a pace which is quite frankly eye-watering), how do we keep up with our dream, and focus on the reasons we went into business in the first place? The freedom, excitement and fulfilment of the modern, digital world are second to none; but so is the pace, and stress, and fear of missing out.

Doodlebug exists to ensure business owners can focus on their core activities, and are supported in creating a business that not only provides wealth in a monetary sense, but also in the quality of the lives led by the owners, their staff and the customers their activities touch. This means working hard - but on the right things. The things that matter. We will support you in defining what those are.

Once this has happened, you will have a service designed to your needs (and budget) which will run without further thought from you. We will prompt you to carry out tasks (or arrange for them to be completed) and the annual forward plan will run like clockwork. Regular points of contact will ensure we are on message and you have full control over the process; but the effort will happen when you have time - not at the end of a busy day, once any little ones have finally settled, and you'd rather be relaxing in front of Netflix or with a good book! (I know this is my own prism - but the same counted when I was wanting to be in the pub or at the rugby club in the evening pre-family life!)

When you are successful, so are we. And vice versa. We will be partners in your success and share your journey. This includes those moments we all have, where we wonder why on earth we started on this fantastic journey of entrepreneurship! And at the end of the day, you want to enjoy the fruits of your endeavours. You want to share success, have fun and make it matter.

What is International Day of Education? On the 24th of January we are celebrating International Day of Education, we recognising the education sector from a broader perspective. You may think, why is this something that needs recognizing? Well let us tell you. In 2018 the United Nations General Assembly granted the 24th of January as The International Day of Education. This day in particular focuses on educational development and reflecting on what we take for granted for accessing education and resources. Why Is This Important? Last year alone, the UK had at least 10.7 million children attending schools across the country whilst in other underdeveloped countries such as Sudan, Mali and others have a staggering rate of 258 million pupils who do not have access to any form of education. It is especially hard for those living in regions of higher inequality, education is not deemed as necessary and is often dismissed. Often governments also lack the sufficient funding for educational resources, meaning there is not enough funding for basic necessities such as bathrooms, teachers and supplies of uniform. International Day Of Education calls for change; the aim is to bring civil societies and individuals to take solid steps to ensure that children get to have a primary and secondary education in underdeveloped countries. Who Have We Worked With? We Are Doodlebug are proud to have worked with two amazing UK based Educational Trusts. As a company we believe in growth, the education sector is proven to provide that for individuals especially those in less fortunate circumstances. As Malala Yousafzai said “One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world”. The Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust, and Campfire Education Trust have been pivotal in providing Primary school education to thousands of children. Both Trust’s provide and establish a dynamic professional learning community, allowing children to grow an enthusiasm for learning and create curiosity about the world whilst still providing a caring attitude towards it. Seeing a child flourish in education is not just rewarding, it also gives them a chance in life and sets them up for success. How We Are Doodlebug Support Educational Trusts/Schools? 1.We can provide a consistent brand across schools whilst maintaining individual personality. 2.Ability to easily find policies in one place on the main MAT website which school sites link to so that they are always kept up to date and remain compliant. 3.We provide support via phone or email as well as training staff to make their own edits.a different source.
